After the successful 2021 WestMED Stakeholder Conference in Rome and the 2022 Hackathons on project development in Malta, we invite you to the 2023 edition of the WestMED Stakeholder Conference.
The Conference will be held on Thursday, 22 June 2023 in Malta. The event will be in-person and open to all stakeholders that are contributing to improve the sustainable blue economy in the WestMED region.
This year’s focus will be on the main areas that the WestMED Initiative actively facilitates: Sustainable Aquaculture, Green Shipping & Ports and Maritime Clusters – plus some of the latest developments regarding Maritime Spatial Planning, Sustainable Tourism and Blue Skills/ Ocean Literacy; all lined with inspiring projects that have been supported.
Next to this, we will present the latest updates and insights into the most relevant funding opportunities for your project(idea)
The format will be interactive and provides a platform to contribute to the discussion, ask fellow experts and build your network.
Interpretation available in English and French for the plenary sessions.
WestMED Project Awards
This year will see the 2nd edition of the WestMED Project Awards.
These awards will showcase and honour exceptional projects that provide innovative and replicable solutions embodying the WestMED’s Initiative’s vision for the Western Mediterranean.
The project Awards ceremony and a dynamic pitching session amongst selected projects, will take place live during the Conference.
