About the Energy Transition Partnership

The ETP fosters sustainable development through cooperation, knowledge sharing, and dialogue across the EU fisheries and aquaculture sector. With the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050, the ETP gathers experts from fisheries, aquaculture, ports, the fishing shipbuilding industry, processing sectors, NGOs, research institutions, and others to innovate sustainable energy solutions and best practices. Supported by the recently launched ETP Assistance Mechanism, the partnership coordinates discussions across 5 thematic areas, led by the newly appointed Support Group Coordinators—key stakeholders and members of the ETP community. Working groups focusing on each of the thematic areas will be formed within this community to help shape the recommendations for the development of the future Energy Transition roadmap to be published by the end of 2025.

For more information about the ETP and its activities, please visit the Maritime Forum, which has hosted the ETP since the beginning of October.

About the Workshop

This workshop is part of a broader series of events promoted by the ETP and aims to comprehensively explore the key challenges that ports face in the context of the energy transition.

Participants will have the opportunity to work together on developing concrete solutions and recommendations to support decarbonisation efforts in the sector to gather stakeholders’ views that help shape the Energy Transition roadmap. This forum is an excellent chance for stakeholders to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and work together with ports towards more energy efficient and carbon neutral EU Fisheries and Aquaculture.
