Bleu-Adapt

Blue Adapt focuses on managing the conservation of natural habitats in the Mediterranean and is a cross border cooperation project with partners from Tunisia and Italy.

BLEU ADAPT serves as a pilot project for the transferability of results practices in other Mediterranean countries. In particular, the monitoring protocols and adaptive management strategies will be immediately available and can be extended to countries suffering from the invasion of the blue crab, or other commercially usable invasive species.

Marine Hound

Marine Hound is developing a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System to autonomously and remotely detect the use of illegal high Sulphur fuel by polluting vessels that are breaking the IMO law and inform the relevant authorities to physically inspect the flagged vessel.

Replicating and transferring the project results across the WestMED countries,the whole Mediterranean, and even beyond is included under the Marine Hound’s business plan.

GALATEA

GALATEA  supports and helps accelerate SMEs to develop new cross-sectoral and cross-border industrial value-chains integrating technologies and know-how from aerospace and ICT communities to 4 key Blue Growth domains: ports, ships, shipyards and maritime surveillance. The consortium partners come from France, Spain, Greece, Poland and Romania

GALATEA has developed tools and methodologies that are replicable and transferable across the WestMED countries.

NewTechAqua

NewTechAqua expands and diversifies European aquaculture production of finfish, molluscs and microalgae by developing and validating technologically-advanced, resilient and sustainable applications. The project holds partners from France, Spain, Greece, Norway, Belgium, Cyprus, Croatia and the UK

The solutions developed by NewTechAqua have considerable short-term potential regarding increased production and creation of new products, markets and jobs. A long-term beneficial impact on EU aquaculture can be achieved in terms of overall sustainability and resilience

We are blue schools  – Also winner of the overall best project 2023 award

The project ‘s overall objective is to bring environmental awareness and sustainability skills to young people in schools by teaching them Ocean Literacy.

The project creates a BluePrint Guide on how to develop the Blue Schools concept that enables other EU and non-EU regions to follow this example and successfully recruit a large Network of European Blue Schools. Project’s partners have already started sharing these experiences in schools in Morocco, following the approach of the BluePrint Guide.
