This Open Call aims to finance initiatives for business growth in Portuguese startups and enterprises to develop, apply and commercialize innovative products and technologies.

 

The main objective of this Call is to finance initiatives for business growth in startups enterprises to develop, apply and commercialize innovative products and technologies. This call will also promote cooperation between enterprises and research institutions, in order to foster user-driven research-based innovation.

Eligible promoters: SMEs established as legal persons in Portugal are considered eligible applicants of projects.

The projects supported by this call will contribute to increase competitiveness, sustainability and profitability among Portuguese startups and bring more innovation in their products, services and processes within the focus are of Blue Growth.

Eligible Sectors:

  • Fisheries/aquaculture (development of innovative products and technologies in fisheries/ fish farming sector)
  • Fish and seafood transformation industry
  • Commercial ports
  • Ocean renewable energy sector
  • Maritime industry, including innovative maritime transport technologies

Este concurso visa o financiamento de empresas para o desenvolvimento de produtos e tecnologias já disponíveis no mercado ou desenvolvimento de novos, utilizando o lixo marinho como matéria-prima.

O principal objetivo deste aviso visa o financiamento de empresas que, desenvolvam produtos e tecnologias inovadoras acrescentando valor às já existentes no mercado ou criando novas. O resultado esperado, baseia-se na questão da eficicência de recursos assente numa economia circular, que promova o apoio de empresas que utilizem o lixo marinho como matéria-prima, ou que criei condições de recolha para utilização como matéria-prima secundária de terceiros.

Promotores elegíveis: São considerados promotores elegíveis as PMEs e as grandes empresas (com menos de 25% de capitais públicos) estabelecidas legalmente em Portugal.

O convite permanecerá aberto até às 12:00:00 de Portugal Continental do dia 31-05-2021.

EMFF Call | Algae and Climate

EASME is launching this call for tenders in order to conclude a service contract for a study aimed to investigate the use of algae cultivation and its potential contribution to the EU’s climate objectives.

EASME wishes to enter into a service contract to assess the potential of algae to contribute to the EU’s climate, food and biodiversity strategies under the 2019 EU Green Deal proposal resetting the Commission’s commitment to achieving zero emissions of greenhouse gases in 2050 with economic growth decoupled from resource use.

The purpose of this service is to provide the Directorate General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries with a basic background knowledge and up-to-date information that can increase the evidence base for the contribution of the Blue Economy to the EU’s Green Deal. The focus should be put on the costs, impact and benefits of scaling up production of marine algae through aquaculture in the EU.

The services to be delivered will cover all EU Member States, including their Outermost Regions.
