The 61st ECSA Conference (ECSA 61), “Bridging the Gap Between Science and Policy in Estuarine and Coastal Marine Biodiversity: The Way Forward,” will be held 24–27 August 2026 at Square Brussels Convention Centre, Belgium. Bringing together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world, the conference will provide a multidisciplinary forum to discuss the latest advances in estuarine and coastal science and their role in addressing biodiversity loss, climate change, and pollution.

The program features keynote presentations, technical sessions, workshops, poster presentations, and, for the first time, a dedicated Science-meets-Policy Day, fostering dialogue between scientists and decision-makers to strengthen evidence-based management of coastal and marine ecosystems. ECSA 61 offers an outstanding opportunity to share research, build international collaborations, and contribute to sustainable solutions for the world’s estuaries and coastal seas.
