The 7th EU Blue Parks Community Workshop will bring together researchers, policymakers and marine protected area (MPA) managers in Bruges on 16 November 2026 to explore how scientific knowledge can be translated into practical conservation action.

The event will showcase tools, methods and lessons from EU-funded projects that are ready to support the management of marine protected areas across Europe.

Held alongside the Blue4all final event and the World Conference on Marine Biodiversity, the workshop will focus on sharing proven solutions and addressing the challenges of putting research into practice. By strengthening collaboration between science, policy and practitioners, the event aims to accelerate more effective marine protection and contribute to the goals of the EU Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030.
